platform, as the pioneering e-learning Technical and Vocational
Education and Training (TVET) provider in Rwanda, empowers youth
to engage in virtual learning environments while simultaneously
gaining practical industry experience in their local
communities.
One of our core objectives is to create an accessible learning
platform that specifically supports women in acquiring essential
skills. To date, we have successfully trained over 1,200 young
individuals, with an impressive 70% of them being women. Notably,
10 of our graduates have already established micro-businesses,
while 50% have secured employment within the creative industry.

Throughout my journey with Hatua program, I have been amazed by the process of making shoes and
everything I've learned so far. It's been an incredible experience, and I am proud of myself for
pursuing my passion for creating wonderful shoes.
The program has not only taught me valuable skills
but
also boosted my confidence in my abilities as a young girl. I am grateful for this opportunity and excited about
what
the future holds for me in the world of shoemaking.
At first, it was challenging to learn the craft, especially without a high school background. But the support and guidance provided by the Hatua program made all the difference. They believed in me and helped me develop the necessary skills to create shoes.
This newfound skill not only gave me a sense of accomplishment but also transformed my self-identity from being jobless to proudly calling myself an employee.
Embracing my disability, I made a conscious decision to rise above any limitations and join the transformative Hatua program. Through this program, I delved into the world of show-making and honed valuable soft skills that have been instrumental in shaping my future.
The Hatua program's dedication to empowering women is truly remarkable, and what's even more heartening is its unwavering support for people with disabilities like myself. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities they have provided, which have not only enriched my life but have also enabled me to make a difference.
